PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Portland Fire & Rescue responded to a commercial fire on SE 92nd around 6:28 p.m. Friday.

PF&R said the fire started in between a floor and wall in apartments above an acupuncture business located in the 5800 block of SE 92nd.

People living in the apartments noticed the smoke and were able to get out safely.

The fire went to two alarms due to high winds and concerns the fire would spread. Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in about an hour.

TriMet is bringing in buses to help keep residents warm until the Red Cross sets them up with temporary housing.

The acupuncture business was not damaged.

No word on the cause of the fire or how much damage was caused to the apartments.
