Police: Suspect's sketch released in NE Portland attempted abduction

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Detectives have released a forensic sketch of the suspect involved in Friday’s attempted abduction in northeast Portland.

The suspect is described as a African-American male in his 30s, 6’ tall, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants, and a baseball cap.

Officers responded to the 5200 block of NE 92nd Avenue after a report of a teen girl who was dragged into the bushes by a man on Friday.

The girl was able to escape and return home, suffering minor scrapes during the struggle.

Detectives are trying to contact a witnesses to the incident.

According to police, the victim reported that a white male adult was driving a green truck with ladders on the side, and stopped the vehicle to confront the suspect.

Police said the witness was wearing dark clothing and believed to have worked in construction.
