Officers with the Portland Police Bureau’s Sex Offender Registration Detail are searching for a man designated a “dangerous offender” who failed to report to his parole officer.

Dennis John Davis has an extensive criminal history including violent sexual crimes and other offenses.

PPB officers are working with the Multnomah County Department of Community Justice to find Davis.

Officers describe Davis as a white man, 5 feet 9 inches tall weighing 197 pounds with grey hair and blue eyes.

His last known residence with located in downtown Portland, and he was last seen in the area of Forest Park and Washington Park.

According to a spokesperson with Multnomah County, Davis let the battery on his tracking bracelet run out of power, at which point it notified officers.

In June, Davis cut off the bracelet just days after he was released from prison.

The sister of one his victims told Fox 12 that was when he threatened to kill their family after her sister testified against him.

A week after he cut the bracelet he turned himself in to officers.

Investigators are asking that anyone with information on the location of Davis are asked to immediately call 911.
