A woman wanted in connection to a murder investigation in Yakima County, Washington was arrested at a McDonald's Restaurant in Washington County, Oregon.

The Yakima County Sheriff's Office identified Raven Cutler, 33, as a person of interest in a homicide investigation this month. A warrant was then issued for her arrest on charges of first-degree murder and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

The body of 54-year-old Norma Emmerson was found in a remote section of Sage Trail Road in the town of Selah on the morning of Nov. 11.

An autopsy confirmed Emmerson died of three gunshot wounds to the head. Deputies described it as a "brutal murder."

An alert was put out for Cutler, saying she had a distinctive look, including tattoos on her face and neck, but may have been attempting to alter her identity with a cane and wig to look like an elderly person.

However, deputies said she didn't try to hide her identity once her name and photo were released to the public.

Investigators said she showed her own photo from a newspaper article to a truck stop worker and declared, "I'm wanted for murder."

She was later arrested at a McDonald's near North Plains without further incident. Cutler was booked in the Washington County Jail on Monday on a murder hold out of Yakima County.

Yakima County deputies said Tuesday that she waived extradition and they were heading to Oregon to transport her back to Washington.

A possible motive for the killing of Emmerson has not been released.
