One injured in three-alarm house fire in Salem

SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Marion County Fire District #1 responded to a three-alarm house fire around 4:46 p.m. Thursday.

Crews arrived to the fire, located in the 6200 block of Rambeau Ln SE, and were able to get the fire under control.

MCFD1 said the homeowners were home at the time, noticed the fire and were able to get out. 

One person received minor injuries. He refused transport and was treated on scene.

MCFD1 said the fire appears to have started in the back of the house. No word on what caused the fire.

The house is about 5,000 square feet and in a rural area without hydrants.

MCFD1 said a total of 40 personnel and 20 fire apparatus worked on the fire.

Crews are still on scene and are asking people to please avoid the area.
