The Oregon Humane Society said 130 animals found homes on Black Friday, setting a new adoption record for the shelter.

Thirty six dogs, 39 cats and 55 small animals found homes Friday, which is up 19 percent from 2014. The previous record was 109 pets being adopted in one day. Before the shelter opened, more than 100 people were outside waiting in a line which stretched around the building.

One of the animals that found a home Friday was Aslan, a 3-year-old Dalmatian mix that has been at the shelter since September.

The shelter is currently offering a 50 percent discount on all small animals. The promotion runs through Sunday.

Earlier this week, the Oregon Humane Society rescued about 200 small animals from a trailer and shed in Oregon City.
