CLARK COUNTY, WA (KPTV) -

A man suspected in an attempted homicide case has been rearrested for assault.

On Friday, Clark County Deputies arrested Troy Meyers, 46, for assaulting a man earlier in the month.

Deputies said Meyers viciously assaulted Anonte Rydberg with a blunt object while he slept at an friends home in Orchards, Washington on November 18.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Major Crimes Team and the Tactical Detective Unit investigated the case because of how badly Rydberg was hurt.

Meyers has been arrested several times in the last two months.

He was arrested on outstanding warrants for attempted aggravate homicide on November 10.

Meyers appeared in court and was released on $150,000 bail on November 13.

In October, Meyer was arrested for multiple counts of intimidating a witness.

He is currently facing charges for the assault, and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.
