PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Classes were canceled at Madison High School on Monday after a pair of fires were set inside the school.

Firefighters responded to the northeast Portland school at 12:15 p.m. Monday after a fire in a second-floor storage closet triggered an alarm.

Administrators said a fire was also set Monday morning in a boys bathroom.

Students and staff were dismissed Monday afternoon while Portland Fire & Rescue crews investigated.

Families were advised to pick students up in the stadium parking lot. Students were also allowed to remain at school until the end of the day if no ride was available.

All after-school activities and events were also canceled.

Two weeks ago, the school was evacuated twice in two days due to fires in bathroom trashcans.

At that time, administrators said the restrooms inside the school would be locked and students would have to sign out for a key to use the bathroom.
