PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Bureau of Transportation’s Maintenance and Operations Group (PBOT) has partnered with GovDeals to auction a wide range of surplus items to the public.

GovDeals is an experienced web-based auction service that helps agencies sell surplus property.

The company has worked with other Portland bureaus, including the Portland Police Bureau, as well as other Oregon government agencies.

Items up for auction include street signs that have been taken out of service, metal shelving and lockers, TVs, microwaves, power and mechanical tools, bricks, concrete garbage cans and many other goods.

The auction will begin Monday, Dec 7 with updated offerings monthly until all of the items are sold.

You can find all of the items up for auction here.

Proceeds from the sales will go to general transportation revenues, which provides funds for basic operations and maintenance.
