Linda Johnston remembered for the joy she brought to her family

The family of the woman killed in a three car crash on southeast 160th and Stark Friday is sharing their story.

Fox 12's Nora Hart sat down with Linda Johnston's sister to share how the family is doing now.

Tracey Lee and her family are shaken after hearing of the accident just three weeks before Christmas, Linda’s favorite time of year.

"She loved Christmas. We always had family gatherings right here in the living room. She played Santa every year,” said Lee.

Through the tears, they say now is the time to remember the joy Linda brought to the family.

Linda's family said she loved animals, was the family photographer, and the favorite aunt.

"She was the heart and soul of this family, the favorite aunt of all the nieces and nephews, and there is a lot," Lee said.

Investigators said Jose Lara, 18, and Oswald Reyes, 27, were speeding, possibly racing, when they hit Johnston.

Both Lara and Reyes have been charged with manslaughter according to investigators, and are investigating whether street racing was a possibility.

Now, the family hopes to begin the healing process during the time of year Linda loved the most.

“We're a family of faith, we've all been praying hard. We know we need to bring ourselves to a place to forgive these two men. But, they need to serve the consequences," said Lee.
