DAYTON, OR (KPTV) -

Yamhill County Sheriff's Office responded to a report that a U.S. Bank in Dayton was robbed at gunpoint on Monday.

The report of the robbery came in around 5 p.m.

YCSO said this was the second time in two months an armed robbery had occurred at that bank.

Employees were able to give police a description of the suspects vehicles.

OSP spotted the vehicle on Highway 18 near Cruickshank Road in rural McMinnville. The OSP trooper tried to stop the vehicle but the driver fled the scene.

After a short pursuit, the vehicle ended up in a field near Old Stone Village.

The suspect, Noe Tlazalo Sandoval, 30, was arrested. A gun was found in his possession and linked him to the bank robbery.

YCSO said preliminary investigation indicates Sandoval is likely the suspect in both robberies.

Sandoval was taken to Yamhill County Jail where he faces charges related to the robbery.
