PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Three days of historic rainfall in the Pacific Northwest led to widespread flooding and many residents wondering what they're going to do about homes filled with inches or even feet of water.

For those who have to move or simply need somewhere to put their belongings while their homes undergo repairs, U-Haul is offering free storage.

The company announced Wednesday that it will provide 30 days of free storage at U-Haul self-storage locations or use of the company's U-Box storage containers.

The offer is available to flood victims in the Portland/Vancouver area, the northern Oregon coast and other surrounding areas hit by flooding.
