Localized flooding causes Tualatin officials to close Nyberg Lane

Posted: Updated:

Officials from the City of Tualatin have closed Nyberg Lane from 57th Avenue to 65th Avenue early Friday morning due to high water levels.

On Saturday morning officials say the roadway will remain closed.

City officials said the Tualatin River reached 116 feet above sea level around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Predictions indicate that the city may see more localized flooding if rainfall continues, according to official reports.

The city said there are several problematic areas including SW Nyberg Road east of I-5, Tualatin Sherwood Road between Martinazzi and Boones Ferry, and Tualatin Road near Tualatin Community Park.

Officials would like to remind those traveling to Tualatin to be aware of standing water on the roads and to use caution in low lying areas.
