KALAMA, WA (KPTV) -

One of the hardest hit areas of Kalama is back open to local traffic.

Kalama River Road, where a house slid off its foundation during a mudslide Tuesday night, is back open for local residents who need to get to their homes.

There is still no word when the whole area will be re-opened to the general public.

The Emergency Management officials also noted that the Kalama city water plant has been shut down due to the cloudiness of the water flowing in the Kalama River, so the city will us reservoirs. Officials are asking residents to conserve water through the weekend.
