PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Police responded to two overnight shootings Saturday, and detectives believe that they may be related to one another.

Officers responded to the first report of gunfire in the area of north Mason Street and Haight Avenue just before 2 a.m., according to Portland Police.

When officers arrived in the area, they found an empty parked car that was damaged by gunfire.

No victims were located at the scene, and witnesses described hearing vehicles speed out of the area right after the shooting, police said.

Later at around 2:48 a.m., officers responded to the report of a drive by shooting at southwest 2nd Avenue and Pine Street in downtown Portland.

Officers also found evidence of gunfire, but no victims.

About 30 minutes later, a man, 28, walked into a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

According to police, based on the information gathered, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to continue the investigation.

It is unclear which shooting injured the victim, because he was not cooperative with police.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to contact police.
