Demonstrators wore orange outfits today to demonstrate their commitment to reducing gun violence during the Portland End Gun Violence Walk.

The walk aims to honor all survivors and victims of gun violence.

The color orange is to nod to the color hunters wear to warn other hunters not to shoot.

The event comes on the eve of the third anniversary of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Organizers said over 200 people participated in the Portland walk. Nearly 100 orange walks happened this weekend across the country.
