Crews rescue one lost hiker; one injured hiker over the weekend

Crews responded to a lost hiker on the Oneonta Trail, and an injured hiker at Triple Falls, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office 

Officials said one hiker Fable Turas got lost while hiking on Oneonta Trail Saturday afternoon.

She was not able to get a cell phone signal strong enough to make a call, but she was able to text a friend to call for help, according the Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said two teams from the search and rescue volunteers were sent out to find Turas.

Deputies said she was fond on the Triple Falls trail near the Oneonta Trail.

Turas was cold, but not injured.

Another rescue mission happened Sunday afternoon near Triple Falls at Ainsworth State Park, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office.

A woman had injured her ankle while hiking, and was unable to get down on her own.

The 'Trail Hornets' group was sent out to rescue her.

The 'Triple Hornets' is an elite group of swarm-in personnel trained in hiking and trail running.

Officials said they are meant to respond quickly in these situations
