Road repairs on west Burnside after landslide requires lane closures

Posted: Updated:
PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Portland Bureau of Transportation announced that they will be repairing the shoulder of West Burnside Road Monday, December 14 after a landslide, which requires some lane closures.

Crews will be working on West Burnside Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. between southwest Tichner Drive and the West Burnside Tunnel, according to PBOT.

Officials said at least one lane in each direction will be open at all times.

Closing the lanes will allow crews to replace the shoulder rock and other material that keeps roadways safe.

Lane closures will only be in effect while crews are working. Access to the road will be maintained for businesses and residents during the project.

PBOT is advising the public to use caution, observe all lane closers and directions by reader boards and flaggers, and expect delays while repairs are being made.
