SANDY, OR (KPTV) -

Officers from the Sandy Police Department arrested a Portland man Monday who they say carjacked a woman at gunpoint, then robbed a nearby bank with the same handgun, before he crashed the stolen car and dropped some of the stolen cash.

Police say Aaron Royal Marvin Larson, 21, pulled a gun on a woman in the Walgreens parking lot on Highway 26 and Bluff Road around noon.

After taking the woman’s SUV, police say Larson drove it to the US Bank in Sandy, where he robbed the bank and made off with what police describe as a "large amount" of cash.

According to police, Larson then crashed the stolen SUV in some bushes in front of a home on Highway 26 near University Avenue, then took off on foot for the nearby Mount Hood Industrial Area, dropping money from the robbery as he ran.

The crashed SUV ended up on the edge of Wayne Morris's property.

"I saw cops coming from every direction," Morris told Fox 12.  "Crazy.  More than crazy."

Morris said the suspect ran through his driveway to get away, and as he headed toward the industrial area, Morris called his wife, who works near there.

"I called her right away and said [there was a] bank robber loose, lock your doors and everything.  She's like, 'Oh my God,' I'm like, 'Just do it, you'll hear the cops in a second.'" he added.  "She said down at her work there was money laying all over, and I guess the neighbor over here had money all over his driveway also."

Officers from the Estacada Police and Clackamas County Sheriff's Office assisted Sandy Police with containing Larson in the industrial park, and he was arrested without incident.

Officers recovered the handgun and most of the stolen cash at the time of Larson's arrest, but ask anyone who may find additional currency in the area to turn it in.

Larson is now facing several charges, including robbery, unlawful use of motor vehicle, failure to perform duties of driver when property damaged, theft, reckless driving, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, and unlawful use of weapon.

He's being held at the Clackamas County Jail on $165,000 bail and is expected in court on Tuesday.
