Nyberg Lane remains closed due to flooding in Tualatin

Posted: Updated:

Nyberg Lane has been closed for five days due to flooding in Tualatin.

The city reported that Nyberg Lane remained closed Wednesday morning from 57th Avenue to just east of 65th Avenue.

Access to all businesses in the area is open from either the east or the west.

Portions of Jurgens Park remained flooded Wednesday in the lower areas.

The Tualatin River was 113 feet above sea level Wednesday morning and slowly receding. The city of Tualatin's department operations center will be partially open until flood waters recede, with staff monitoring conditions and river levels and responding to potential flood-related issues as they develop.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for the metro area starting Wednesday night, with upward of 3 inches of rain possible in the Willamette Valley.

The Tualatin River is projected to fluctuate over the next five days between 110-115 feet above sea level, according to city workers.

Anyone with questions for city staff can call 503-691-3091 during normal business hours. For after-hours emergencies, call 503-629-0111.
