A woman smoking a cigarette got out of a car, walked up to the front porch of a Clackamas County home and swiped a package in broad daylight.

She got away with homemade caramel corn sent by a relative of the intended recipient.

The theft was caught on camera and now deputies are asking for help identifying the woman.

The theft happened on the 17000 block of South Potter Road near Redland at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday.

Surveillance cameras were rolling as a black Volvo with distinctive black rims pulled up and a woman got out of the passenger side of the car.

She had dyed blond hair and was wearing faded blue jeans, green-toned gloves, a black jacket with a light fur collar and Chuck Taylor-style sneakers.

On Thursday, deputies released surveillance video of the theft. The suspects may be responsible for additional package thefts, according to detectives.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or the car, or anyone with additional information about this investigation is asked to call the sheriff's office tip line at 503-723-4949 or use the online form at
