SALEM, OR (KPTV) -

Homeowners frustrated after losing six packages to thieves in Salem decided to take matters into their own hands.

They decided to install a camera system and placed a bait package with clothing inside and waited for the thieves to arrive.

On Thursday around 11 a.m., the camera system alerted the Ibrahin's that someone was on their front porch.

Surveillance video shows Eva Duke, 40 and her accomplice Paige Butler, 26, grabbing a package and quickly walking away. The video also shows them walking away with their loot in a shopping cart and red wagon.

Marion Co. Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the area and another neighbor told them they saw the couple enter another car port a home.

Deputies found the couple in a parking lot on Hayesville Drive NE near Lancaster Drive NE.

Both were arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail on charges of theft in the second degree and trespassing in the second degree.

Duke will appear in court on Friday.

MCSO said Butler was issued a citation to appear because of a medical concern discovered at the jail.
