FBI, Salem Police need help identifying robbery suspect

A man robbed the Heritage Grove Credit Union in Salem on Wednesday, and now the FBI and Salem Police Department are asking for the public's help to identify him.

According to a release, the robber walked into the bank, located at 631 Winter Street NE, approached the teller desk and demanded money. The suspect threatened that he had a weapon during the robbery. 

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and left. He was last seen on foot moving along a dark pathway toward Cottage Street.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5'9", medium build, wearing a coat that is solid white on the bottom half and blue on the top half with a white stripe across the chest. He was also wearing glasses, dark-colored gloves and a red, white and blue patterned beanie cap.
