VANCOUVER, WA (KPTV) -

Gunfire rang out in Vancouver early Saturday morning, leading to a four hour standoff with police.

Vancouver police said shots were heard around 1 a.m. near 14th and Brandt Road.

Police said Demetrius Diamond had shot off several shots, then barricaded inside a house.

SWAT officers were called and after several hours, they were able to convince Diamond to come out.

One man who says he’s had problems with the shooter said Diamond was targeting him.

“He was just back there screaming at the top of his lungs telling me to get out you know calling my name and whatever and then we hear pop pop pop and went on about six or seven more times," he said.

Police said Diamond was intoxicated and upset at the time shots were fired.
