For the first time in his NBA career, Damian Lillard will not be on the court for the Trail Blazers.
The All-Star guard will sit out Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks with plantar fasciitis in his left foot, the team announced.
The Trail Blazers website said Lillard aggravated the injury in the third quarter of Sunday's loss to Miami.
Lillard had a streak of 275 consecutive regular season games played. Only Cliff Robinson played in more consecutive games than Lillard in team history at 461, according to the Blazers.
The Blazers, with a record of 11-18, will also be without starting guard CJ McCollum on Monday due to ankle injuries.
