SISTERS, OR (KPTV) -

A 74-year-old woman was killed in a crash on Highway 20 near Sisters on Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to the scene near Milepost 3 at 10 a.m.

Investigators said Karen Langeliers, 74, of Bend, was driving a 2008 Nissan Maxima west on Highway 20 when she lost control on the icy road and crossed into the eastbound lane.

An eastbound 1999 Ford F350 hit the Nissan on the passenger side.

Langeliers was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup, 71-year-old Jay Kittams of Molalla, was not injured, according to police.

Highway 20 was closed for two hours, with a one-lane closure for another hour after that following the crash.

Oregon State Police said icy road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.

There were three separate crashes on Oregon highways Wednesday morning, with others on Highway 30 near Clatskanie and on Highway 99W in Benton County
