Two in critical condition after Hwy 18 crash

Lincoln County, OR (KPTV) -

Crews responded to a crash on Highway 18 near milepost 2 just before 6 p.m. Thursday, according to Oregon State Police.

Police said a 1998 Nissan Maxima was traveling westbound when he crossed the center-line and hit a 1993 Dodge Dakota driving eastbound.

Both drivers had to be extracted from their vehicles, according to officials.

Police said the driver of the Nissan Maxima, Richard Loy Jr., 34, of Lake Oswego, and the driver of the Dodge Dakota, Bobby Kress, 59, of Otis, are in critical condition.

It is unknown if the drivers was wearing safety belts.

Police said the investigation into the crash is still continuing.
