Police are investigating three overnight shootings in northeast Portland Saturday.

One person was injured during the shootings, but it is unclear if the shootings were related to one another, according to police.

Officers responded to the first report of gunfire in the area of northeast 148th Avenue and Halsey Street. When officers arrived in the area, they found evidence of gunfire, but did not find any gunshot victims.

Officials said a short time later, a male victim, 23, suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound arrived at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center. The victim did not cooperate with officers at the hospital.

Just before 3:14 a.m., officers responded to another report of gunfire at north Haight Avenue and Fremont Street.

Officers did not find any victims in the area. Later Saturday morning, a resident in the 3500 block of north Haight Avenue reported that a bullet entered their home and traveled through their child's playroom. Nobody was injured.

At approximately 5 a.m., officers responded to a third incident at the 2700 block of northeast Saratoga Street on the report that someone fired numerous rounds from a handgun towards the caller, according to police.

Police said the caller described the suspect as a man with dread-locked hair wearing dark clothing.

When officers arrived, they found evidence of gunfire and a parked car with bullet damage. No victims were found in the area.

The Gang Enforcement Team is continuing to investigate the shootings.
