Portland to spend $96 million on urban housing projects

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

More people are choosing to move to Portland and the city is planning ahead.

Portland city officials announced Wednesday that they plan to spend at least $96 million on new housing projects in north and northeast locations.

Officials said the main focus will be around the Elliot and King neighborhoods.

The projects will bring new apartments and affordable housing to Portland residents.
