LYONS, OR (KPTV) -

A Marion County woman called 911 to report she had shot her husband with a handgun late Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies responded to a trailer on the 115000 block of Kingdom Lane Southeast in the Stayton area at 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators said they located the body of 69-year-old Joseph Dimatteo.

His wife, 63-year-old Carolyn Dimatteo, was arrested and booked in the Marion County Jail on the charge of murder. She was being held without bail Monday.

Deputies said they worked throughout the weekend serving search warrants and attempting to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No details regarding the investigation were immediately released.

Carolyn Dimatteo was scheduled to be arraigned in court Monday afternoon.
