PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Oregon Humane Society has set an impressive record. In 2015, OHS found homes for 11,522 pets.

The 11,522nd pet adopted from OHS in 2015 was a nine-month-old cat named Panther.

Panther was adopted Tuesday evening by Belle Hofstetter and Benny Herbert.

With the high adoption numbers comes an equally record-setting adoption rate. OHS claims to find homes for 98% of its pets, one of the highest in the nation.
