LAKE OSWEGO, OR (KPTV) -

Dozens of runners in Lake Oswego got an early start on some New Year’s resolutions at a micro-marathon held Friday morning at George Rogers Park.

About a hundred people went out to run the 2.62 miles along the Willamette River.

The event was open to all ages, with the top time ran by Mathew Ragsdale, who finished in 16:45.

Fox 12's Kim Maus was among the runners braving the cold weather to get the run in.

The micro-marathon benefits went toward the Oregon Department of Human Services to provide support for children in foster care.
