Corvallis PD respond to call of argument, arrest man who was carrying gun, brass knuckles

An argument at a Corvallis apartment early New Year’s Day ended with one man arrested after officers said he dropped a gun and brass knuckles.

According to reports, Jacob Wylie Jaeger, 18, had been involved in a long-standing dispute with another man, 21.

Jaeger, along with a few friends, went to the man’s apartment after a party, where the man and Jaeger got into a confrontation.

Police said at this point Jaeger pulled a gun from his waist and pointed at the man’s face.

The other people in the apartment attempted to stop Jaeger, and the confrontation became physical, at which point Jaeger dropped the gun, as well as a pair of brass knuckles, and fled the apartment.

Officers located and arrested Jaeger a few blocks away from the apartment, and at the time of his arrest discovered unlawful quantities Xanax and Adderall on him.

Jaeger faces multiple charges, including unlawful use of a weapon, felon in possession of a firearm felon in possession of a restricted weapon, menacing, fourth degree assault and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Jaeger is being held on $253,500 bail at the Benton County jail.
