PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

After a surgery in Portland, a Boise toddler will become the youngest patient to have a corneal transplant in the U.S.

Paxton Call is just two-years-old. His eye problems began when he was four months old, and doctors later diagnosed him with congenital hereditary endothelial dystrophy (CHED), a rare genetic disease in his cornea.

Paxton had his first surgery in July, which his family said has let him do things he never could do before.

On Tuesday, Paxton will have his second surgery at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland.
