PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Firefighters worked through the night to prevent a three-alarm fire from spreading to hundreds of units in a southeast Portland storage facility.

Crews responded to Money Saver Mini-Storage on the 7700 block of Southeast 92nd Avenue at 1:13 p.m. Monday.

A second alarm was quickly initiated, followed by a third.

Firefighters initially learned there were two people unaccounted for at the scene, but they were later located. There were no reports of injuries.

The building that burned is part of a six-building complex. The fire did not spread to any of the other buildings.

Firefighters said there were 453 storage rooms in the building that burned, but crews were able to establish a firewall that prevented the fire from spreading to around 370 of them.

Some of those units may still have sustained smoke or water damage, according to firefighters.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
