Mt. Hood, OR (KPTV) -

Get your ski boots on. Mt. Hood Meadows is one of 160 ski areas participating in the World’s Largest Ski Lesson Record Attempt on Friday.

The ski event is attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the most people learning to ski and snowboard at one time.

“This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who has never skied or snowboarded before to learn a new life-long sport,” said Mt. Hood Meadows Ski and Snowboard Director Chris Kastner.

Tickets are $20 each and that includes a 2 hour lesson and an equipment rental package. Participants are advised to register in advance.

“We expect this will be very popular and encourage those interested to register in advance to take advantage of this great price and help us make history,” said Kastner.

Anyone six years and older is welcome to join. Mt. Hood Meadows said it will not be one giant lesson but many group lessons starting at 10 a.m.

Register at SkiHood.com/WLL. Registration ends on Wednesday at midnight.
