FOREST GROVE, OR (KPTV) -

Icy conditions caused some problems for fire crews early Thursday morning after they were dispatched to a house fire around 2:30 a.m. in a rural area in Forest Grove.

Fire officials said it took crews about 25 minutes to get to the manufactured home on NW Finger Creek Drive.

Neighbors said they woke up to find the house completely ablaze with flames coming out of every window.

Because it was a rural area, fire crews said they had to bring 3000 gallons of water with them.

Firefighters said the ground was slick with ice and this slowed their progress.

Luckily there were no people inside the house at the time, but officials said one dog either died in the fire or ran away from the scene.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire.
