A woman facing charges in connection to the death of her 2-year-old daughter pleaded guilty in court Thursday.

Dorothy Wing, 25, was arrested in December 2014 by Clatsop County deputies.

Her live-in boyfriend, Randy Roden, had been arrested a week prior on numerous charges including aggravated murder and sex abuse in connection to the child's death.

Emergency crews responded to an apartment on Wahanna Road in Seaside on Dec. 20, 2014 after receiving a 911 call about a child who wasn't breathing.

Police arrived to find 2-year-old Evangelina Wing dead at the scene.

Police said an autopsy showed the girl died of blunt-force trauma and her death was ruled a homicide.

Two other boys, ages 2 and 5 years old at the time, were taken into protective custody.

Police said they had also suffered a number of injuries. Roden is facing charges of assault and criminal mistreatment in connection to those injuries, as well.

Wing, as part of a plea agreement, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of first-degree manslaughter and two counts of criminal mistreatment related to the surviving children.

The charge of murder by abuse was dismissed for Wing.

She was sentenced only on one of the criminal mistreatment charges to nearly three years in prison. Sentencing for her other two charges will be set after she testifies in the case against Roden.

His trial is set to begin in March.
