Police: Traffic stop leads to 2 arrests in SE Portland

PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

A traffic stop led to two arrests early Friday morning in southeast Portland, according to police.

According to Portland Police, officers conducted the traffic stop just after 12:30 a.m. at southeast 102nd Avenue and Stark Street.

During the traffic stop, officers learned that both the driver and passenger had warrants for their arrest.

After the two people were taken into custody, officers found a loaded handgun in the car, along with five ounces of methamphetamine, heroin, prescription pills, and other drug-related items.

The driver, David Lee Stradley, 41, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on multiple charges including felon in possession of a firearm, theft I and possession of methamphetamine, heroin, and hydrocodone.

Jermie Michael Wright,41, was booked into the Multnomah County Jail, and faces multiple charges including possession and delivery of methamphetamine, heroin, and hydrocodone, and a probation violation.

The Portland Police Bureau's Gun Task Force responded to assist with the investigation.
