SEATTLE (KPTV/AP) -

Marshawn Lynch, who underwent abdomen surgery on November 25 and has not played for Seattle since Week 10, will not play Sunday when the Seahawks take on Minnesota in the NFC wild-card game.

After the running back was listed as questionable earlier Friday, the Seahawks said later that he didn't travel to Minnesota and had been ruled out of the game Sunday.

The move comes after Lynch practiced all week with the team, and after head coach Pete Carroll told reporters he looked good during the week.

"We've got to go tomorrow, make sure that he's OK after today, that same old thing. We'll see how he's taken to the week's work and all of that,” Carroll said. “He looked good during the week and did some really good stuff, so we'll just use all of the time that we have available.”

Lynch rejoined the team this week after spending most of his recovery in the Bay Area working out with personal trainers.
