MOUNT HOOD, OR (KPTV) -

Dozens of skiers and snowboarders on Mount Hood were part of a world record attempt Friday.

Skibowl and Mount Hood Meadows both participated in the attempt to set the world record for the world's largest ski and snowboard lesson.

Organizers believe the record was broken, but they're waiting for Guinness to verify the numbers.

More than 160 other locations across the U.S. were part of the attempt.

The official results aren't expected to come in for a few weeks.
