Rainier beer will once again be brewed in the Evergreen State.

Pabst Brewing Company, which owns the Rainier brand, announced a new partnership with Craft Brew Alliance to brew new beers under the Rainier name at CBA's Woodinville, Washington brewery.

The companies plan to produce Rainier Pale Mountain Ale and other Rainier brands at the facility starting in the spring of 2016.

“We are thrilled to be returning to Rainier’s home state and to begin brewing at this wonderful Seattle facility within sight of Mount Rainier. We are excited to revive many historic Rainier beers from our archives – starting with Rainier Pale Mountain Ale, which will be offered in the iconic 16oz. Rainier ‘pounder’ glass bottle,” said Greg Deuhs, Pabst Brewing Company’s Master Brewer.

Deuhs served as director of operations at the Woodinville facility from 2008-2012.

The namesake Rainier lager, however, will continue to be brewed at the MillerCoors facility in Irwindale, California, where it has been in production since 2003.
