Police: One person killed in two vehicle crash on Highway 211

Oregon State Police responded to a two vehicle crash along Highway 211 near milepost 11 on Tuesday morning.

Once on scene, OSP investigators learned that a 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser was eastbound on Hwy 211 and for unknown reasons, the vehicle rotated clockwise and went into the on-coming lane and into the path of a westbound 1997 Toyota Celica.

The driver of the Toyota Celica, Robert Layton, 76, from Molalla, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in his car, Donna Layton, 66, was taken to OHSU with critical injuries.

Andrea Parsons, 36, from Molalla, is the driver of the Toyota Land Cruiser, was taken to Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center with minor injuries.

OSP was assisted at the scene by Molalla Police and Fire Departments, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, West Linn Police Department and the Oregon Department of Transportation.
