Police close Farmington Road due to possible pole collapse

BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

Police have closed SW Farmington Road due to a power pole threatening to collapse on the road.

The road has been closed from 209th Avenue  and Clark Hill Road.

Police said a car crashed into the pole, causing it to become unstable.

The driver fled the scene after the crash, according to officials.  

Washington County Oregon Roads tweeted out the incident Wednesday morning. 

Police said it could be several hours before the road opens again.
