New K9 handler joins Tualatin Police Department

TUALATIN, OR (KPTV) -

Tualatin Police Department announced they have welcomed a new K9 handler.

Officer Eric French joined Tualatin Police Dept. on Thursday. He has been working with K9 Zoey since Nov. 4, 2015.

K9 Zoey is a 4-year-old Chocolate Labrador and has been trained in narcotics detection.

Tualatin Police said K9 Zoey will be used solely as a detection canine during drug investigations, or incidents where there is suspicion of drug possession.
