PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

Fire investigators said some sort of electrical problem caused a fire that damaged a home in Northeast Portland.

Firefighters were called to the home on Northeast Highland Street, in the Woodlawn neighborhood, just after 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

There were reports of people being inside the home, but firefighters said everyone was able to get out safely.

Crews said the fire started from an electrical failure on the back porch, and then flames traveled into the attic.

Firefighters had to rescue at least one cat from the home.

No word on how much damage was done to the home.
