Multnomah Falls, OR (KPTV) -

A small group of searchers spent their Saturday hiking the wet trails of Multnomah Falls and hanging up posters of a missing Portland woman.

Nearly a month has passed since Alissa McCrann was last seen, and her friends still believe she is out there somewhere.

"We are out here replacing signs for our friend Alissa who’s been missing since December 19," said friend Alicia Like.

Friends of McCrann say they will not stop until their friend is home safe.

"We don't want to give up," said Like. "No one's giving up. We want to make sure the search remains consistent, that it continues. Whether they are out here professionally or not, we want people to always be on the lookout and know she's still up here."

Another cold, winter day spent walking the trails at Multnomah Falls – the very place they believe their friend disappeared. Friends say their focus now is to keep McCrann's face out there.

Since Christmas Eve, search and rescue crews have scoured more than 150 miles of the trail system in the Gorge, finding no sign of the 37-year old mother, who was thought to have been seen in the area by herself wearing running clothes.

"She was very active, she would go hiking, running by herself," said friend Erica Gibson. "She was a really independent person, so that wasn't unusual for her."

The only clues that keep friends coming back to the area are that someone spotted her car in the Multnomah Falls parking lot. Hikers also reported seeing a woman who looked like McCrann several miles away from the falls.

Even so, friends are staying hopeful that a passerby will recognize the face on the flier and somehow help connect the dots of McCrann's mysterious disappearance.

"We will continue to come out here until we bring her home," a friend said.

At this point, Multnomah County deputies have suspended their search until they receive any more information or clues.
