PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) -

The Trail Blazers unveiled a specialty license plate during Wednesday’s home game versus the Atlanta Hawks.

The Blazers-themed plate was created with the passage of Oregon House Bill 2730 and then signed into law by Governor Kate Brown. It is first to represent a professional sports team in Oregon.

It features the team’s iconic pinwheel logo in scarlet, silver and black, and "Rip City" in scarlet and black centered at the bottom of the plate. Blazers art director Mario Milosevic led the creative process to design the plate.

The plate will cost $40, and the proceeds will go to the Trail Blazers Foundation.

It will be available to drivers starting in late spring.
