BEAVERTON, OR (KPTV) -

A man taken into police custody following a high-risk traffic stop in Beaverton is accused of firing shots at his ex-girlfriend and another man who was with her.

Police responded to reports of a shooting on the 6100 block of Southwest 127th Court at 3:59 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators said Jeremy Joe Madarang, 34, of Beaverton, was inside his car when he confronted the woman and man in another vehicle at a gas station on the corner of Southwest Hall Boulevard and Allen Boulevard.

Police said Madarang "menaced" them and then followed them to a home on 127th Court, where he fired several rounds at them.

Neither of the victims were hit by the gunfire, according to officers.

Madarang drove away and his vehicle was spotted by a Washington County Sheriff's Office deputy on Southwest 124th and Allen Boulevard.

A high-risk traffic stop was performed and the suspect was taken into custody.

Multiple law enforcement vehicles were at the scene when Madarang was taken into custody, but police said no shots were fired by officers.

The charges against Madarang have not yet been determined, but he was expected to be booked in the Washington County Jail after being interviewed by detectives.
