FOREST GROVE, OR (KPTV) -

A woman jumped out of a window of a burning duplex in Forest Grove and was pulled 120 feet to safety by a 78-year-old neighbor.

Firefighters responded to the 3000 block of Brittany Drive at 2:15 p.m. Friday to find moderate smoke coming from the building.

They entered the home and quickly put out the fire in the living room.

Other crews at the scene were treating an injured woman in a neighbor's yard.

Investigators said a 78-year-old man pulled the woman to safety by himself as his wife called 911.

Firefighters said the injured woman was incoherent and wasn't able to say much, other than a baby was inside the building.

Firefighters searched the duplex multiple times, but did not find a child. After 25 minutes of non-stop searching, a relative arrived at the scene with the toddler.

The injured woman was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor burns and smoke inhalation.

Fire investigators are working with Forest Grove Police Department officers to determine the cause of the fire.

No other details were immediately released.
